The course will take runners through the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail that are full of technical single track, streams, and awesome vistas. Overall Results Age Group Results The Wilderness City 5K presents a safe, healthy, and fun outdoor activity for the whole family. The trail encompasses Philipsburg’s picturesque Cold Stream Dam and recreation area, full of nature’s best offerings. There will be entertainment and prizes, and all proceeds benefit the Philipsburg Revitalization Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to reviving our beloved, little, historic town. The participant that runs the most loops in 3-hours will be the winner.
The route will be marked with orange flagging and volunteers will be stationed at all road crossings. The course features two brutal ascents and descents with some recovery in between. The trails include a stream crossing, 3 footbridge crossings, rock gardens, mud, and some nasty scrambling.
Camp Cadet also provides the cadets with a chance to establish a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel and military personnel. Overall Results Age Group Results The Hills Creek Endurance challenge will feature a 3-mile loop around Hills Creek Lake featuring mostly single track trail. The start/finish and aid station will be at the Sugarbush Pavilion with a water only aid station approximately 1.5 miles into the loop. Those competing can register for the 3-hour, 6-hour or 12-hour option and complete as many loops as they want/can within the allotted time.
